- I am devoutly Roman Catholic, a veteran of service in the U.S. Air Force, I am husband of a wonderful wife and the father of six children. I hold a BA in Economics from The University of Texas at Arlington and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Interpreting and Translating from the Community College of the Air Force. I am a former candidate for public office, and the charter past grand knight of a Knights of Columbus council.

Just yesterday I saw a documentary on Jim Merkel, Radical Simplicity. He seems like a very nice and intelligent fellow. But, I could see that "Mother Nature" and 'simplicity' was his religion.

He's entitled. But, one of the goals was to have Earth's Human Population to be just a Billion people. How to do that? Voluntarily have only one child. He aknowleged that this was a touchy subject.
Now, he was an Engineer by trade and education. Super smart and could probably still use a slide rule.
