- I am devoutly Roman Catholic, a veteran of service in the U.S. Air Force, I am husband of a wonderful wife and the father of six children. I hold a BA in Economics from The University of Texas at Arlington and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Interpreting and Translating from the Community College of the Air Force. I am a former candidate for public office, and the charter past grand knight of a Knights of Columbus council.

Thanks for trying Paul. There is still much to be hopeful about. As a certain birdwatching priest likes to say... "brick by brick" we transform our political, social, and religious culture.
Paul - sorry to hear that 68% of your district's voters didn't know any better. You tried your best - and if Cole wins in November, hold her feet to the fire and get 'er next time around!

I look at the fact that you stuck to your principles, ran a good campaign, and garnered almost 40% of the vote in ILLINOIS as akin to a miracle.
Now you have name recognition, you have made many new friends, and are positioning yourself for another attempt in (two years?) to take another shot.
Good job, and good luck in your future attempts.
Well...you probably realize that I don't agree with anything you do..however, I completely respect that you would put yourself out there for public judgement. Congratulations for a well run campaign. I, for one, would not have the guts to put myself out there for all to see. I know your boy Paladin thinks I am a troll, but I just want YOU to know that I come to this blog because I respect YOUR opinion, even though it is contrary to mine. Do not be sad by this defeat, for you have run an honest campaign. Good luck in the future.
