Keyes On Obama, Unnamed Republicans

I've endorsed Ron Paul, and I'm pleased to say so. But there will always be a warm spot in my heart for Ambassador Alan Keyes, the Don Quixote of the Republican Party.

Here, on Hannity & Colmes, Keyes talks about Barack Obama, but then also mentions (but not by name) some Republican candidates who he doesn't believe can be trusted as leaders in the War On Terror (H/T: Catholic Fire):

I've made that argument myself. The thing I've always liked about Keyes is not that I agree with him, but that he agrees with me.

Alan Keyes says that the Constitution acknowledges the right to life, and thus Alan is for banning abortion nationwide. Ron Paul, however, has said that a federal law banning abortion across all 50 states would be invalid.

Ron Paul would allow the states to have gay "marriage". He supports privately funded embryonic stem cell research, and legalization of drugs and prostitution, opposes the war on terror, and says that we are responsible for terrorist attacks against us.

For these reasons, I have endorsed Alan Keyes.

Paul, just this guy, you know? said...

Kantrinka, I can admire Dr. Keyes, but I cannot support him for president again, as I have done twice before (plus once for the U.S. Senate).

It's too quixotic, even for me. I think Keyes should try to run for Congress in Maryland, or even the state legislature, or find a way to be appointed to something again, and build from there. Starting his political career as president isn't working for him.

Too, this year he got in much too late.

While I think you haven't researched Ron Paul's positions as you should have, I can't deny that he's not a perfect candidate.

Still, I think he's more worthy of my trust than any of the others.
