NCR For Priestesses

Father Z draws our attention to the latest editorial in the liberal (by which I mean "heterodox") National Catholic Reporter (Official Motto: "The Independent Newsweekly"; unofficial motto: "Independent of Catholic faith, orthodoxy or honesty since 1964".), which admits much, and hopes for more:
The hierarchy is rightly nervous about women declaring themselves ordained, however illegally, because these ceremonies carry a strong implicit message. Well-educated women, loyal to the church, know that the historical and theological reasoning advanced for excluding them from ordination is dangerously thin. Citing the growing number of priestless parishes worldwide, they make a compelling case for a different kind of church -- an inclusive church, in which both men and women, whether married or not, heterosexual or homosexual, can participate at all levels. They know that polls show they have significant backing, given that some 70 percent of the Catholic faithful in the United States support women priests. So, like Catholics who ignore many of the church’s other bans -- on birth control, on single-gender lifestyles, on divorce and remarriage -- because they find little in these teachings that corresponds to their own experience of what is right and good, these women, in the vein of other defiant trailblazers, are saying we are finished playing by the rules. [Emphasis of untruths added.]
Let me get this straight. If I find that a teaching of the Church banning a certain behavior as immoral fails to correspond to my "own experioences of what is right and good", then I am justified in saying that I am "finished playing by the rules"?

How about the teaching that it would be immoral for me to indulge my lethally violent anger towards these dangerous and disobediant heretics and the politically correct heretic journalists who give them encouragement, aid, and comfort?

How dare they say that my participation in the Church and its liturgy is insufficient?

Let's see...Jesus was a MAN. His Apostles were MEN. During the Mass, the priest is Christ personified.

Christ was, is not, transgender or androgynous.

He was, and is, a man. The SON of God.

We do not worship the Great Hermaphrodite in the Sky.

There is ample theological evidence and reasoning to keep these kooks out of the priesthood.

What would they say when I point to traditional, ORTHODOX orders who are ordaining priests and growing in numbers of religious far faster than their liberal counterparts.

This Catholic, well-educated WOMAN will NEVER accept women priests. N.E.V.E.R. NEVER.

I have five words for these people:

The Episcopal Church welcomes YOU.

Amy,

Well said. Thank you. Had to laugh out loud at "Great Hermaphrodite in the Sky".

It is so sad to hear what so many of these Catholics have to say. I guess I don't pray for them as much as I should. I wonder if there has ever been such a time on earth when so many call themselves Catholic yet so many whole heartedly reject her teachings.

The poncho-grannies think that if they repeat the lie enough times, people will believe it.
